Grandson killed grandmother, mother-son lived with corpse for 3 months after burying it in wall
After killing the grandmother and living with the dead body for 3 months, the mother and son have been caught by the police after 5 years.
Shanthakumari (69) has succeeded in arresting the mother-son accused in the murder case. Sasikala's (46) son Sanjay (26) has been arrested in Kolhapur, Maharashtra by a team led by Inspector Vasant of Kengeri police station on the charge of murdering his mother.
A 69-year-old woman Shantakumari lived with her daughter Sasikala and grandson Sanjay in a house near Kengeri Satellite. Son Sanjay was a third semester student of aeronautical engineering in a private college.
Sanjay was brilliant in reading and scored more than 90% marks in Essely and PUC. Sanjay, who was ahead in studies, did not talk much with anyone.
In August 2016, when Sanjay came home after finishing college, he brought Gobimanjuri to his grandmother. Shantakumari, who refused to eat outside food, scolded her grandson and threw it in his grandson's face. The grandson, who was angry with this, beat the grandmother with a stick. Grandmother died of severe bleeding.
Sasikala, who was shocked to know that her grandson had killed her grandmother, was ready to inform the police. At this time mom, will you send your son to jail? He shouted "No mom". Sasikala was worried about losing her son. In the end, both mother and son made a plan to hide the secret of the murder.
Deciding that it was impossible to remove the dead body from the house, Sanjay called his friend Nandish, a resident of Kumbalagodi, to his house. The three got together and hid the body in the cupboard of the house. Chemicals were added to prevent odor. Later, the cupboard wall inside the house was drilled and plastered with cement and painted.
He lived in the house where the dead body was for 3 months. Meanwhile, the smell of dead body started coming. It was repainted and plastered. After that, go to the town and tell the owner of the house that both mother and son have left the town. He did not come back home for at least 6 months.
On May 7, 2017, when the lock of the owner's house was opened for repair work, a bloody saree was found. He immediately informed the police.
Kengeri station police, who registered a case and started investigation, rushed to the spot and searched the house and found the mobile phone left by Sanjay. On checking the call details, Nandish's mobile number was found. When Nandish, who was in constant contact with Sanjay, was arrested and interrogated, the murder was revealed. Based on the statement of the accused, when the wall was drilled and inspected, the old man's body was found.
The accused had gone to Sagar in Shimoga, their hometown. Later he was hiding in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Sanjay worked as a supplier in a local hotel and his mother worked as a cleaner.
The accused were absconding without being found by the police since 5 years. Finally, the accused were arrested by the Kangeri Police in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
